Your home is likely among your largest assets. It is important to make sure your homeowners insurance responds when and how you want it to. Policy Coverages

This covers the main structure of your home. The coverage amount is determined based on the unique characteristics of your home. This includes square footage, finish materials, number of bathrooms, among many other factors. 

Keep in mind that this is different from the market value of the home. This is solely the cost for reconstruction of the building.

Other structures coverage is for any detached structures on your property. This could be a fence, detached garage, shed, poolhouse, etc. 

This coverage can often be adjusted based upon your specific needs.

Personal property coverage is for all of the contents within your home such as furniture, clothing, housewares, etc. 
 
We always encourage our clients to take photo or video inventories of their homes to help account for items in the event of a loss. 

Liability coverage protects you for any injury or property damage you or a household family member has unintentionally caused. This covers you worldwide and is not limited to just at the home.  For example, you accidentally trip someone while walking down the sidewalk.

This is a very important coverage for asset protection. Additional liability protection can be purchased with an umbrella policy

This is a goodwill offering that helps pay any medical bills for injuries you or a family member has caused to someone.

Additional Endorsements

If you become a victim of identity theft, this coverage will help cover expenses to restore your identity.
Provides additional protection for your personal property by broadening covered perils (including power surge).
This additional coverage can cover the cost of replacing undamaged siding or roofing when it cannot be matched.
This helps cover the costs of repairs to service lines, along with excavation costs and landscaping expenses.
Provides coverage to repair or replace equipment and appliances and systems damaged from unexpected mechanical or electrical failure.
The standard homeowners policy does not provide liability protection for incidents that take place while conducting business on the premises (Etsy, piano lessons, consulting, etc.).
Provides coverage for losses that exceed the condo or homeowners association’s master policy deductible.
This provides coverage in the event of an earthquake, which is not covered by the standard homeowners policy.
This provides coverage in the event of sinkhole collapse or mine subsidence, which is not covered by the standard homeowners policy.
Provides coverage for renting out your home through services such as AirBnB, VRBO, etc.
