Do you think a red car costs more to insure?

Do you think driving a red car can make your auto insurance go up? If you think so, you’re not alone. A recent insurancequotes.com survey asked participants a few questions yielding some interesting results showing that many Americans are uninformed about auto insurance basics and some myths behind it. Approximately 44% of participants said that they do believe driving a bright red car can make your insurance go up. Thirty-seven percent believed their auto insurance wouldn’t cover them if they were in an accident and it was their fault. Another 28% said that if they were in a car crash, their insurers would only pay the post-crash car value. If you ever have questions regarding your auto policy, call your insurance professional.
