Had an accident?

One of our most important jobs is to help our clients get automobile losses settled promptly. The more information the people involved in the loss have, the easier it is to get losses settled. Here is our list of tips for securing information after the accident occurs.

 Following the accident, make sure everyone is safe and uninjured. If not, call 911 immediately.

Contact the police for their report of the details and events. Having an independent source can be vital.

Have an accident? Secure witness names and contact information. Witness and accident? Be sure to get your information to the parties involved.

Use your smart phone to take pictures of the scene, including the locations of the cars and the surrounding aspects of the roadway or intersection. Use smart phones to take pictures of license plates, drivers, licenses and insurance cards.

Obtain as much information from the other person as possible. This should include the date and time of the accident, the location, information about the other driver and car, including their insurance company, policy number, and contact information for them. Get cell phone and email if possible.

The more information you can secure, the easier it will be to make contact and allow the carriers to resolve and settle any claims.
